Business and Enterprise Workshops for Kent Schools, Colleges and Universities

Our programme of business and enterprise workshops for Kent schools, colleges and universities offers the opportunity to develop business skills that can be applied in everyday life. Having access to these skills in a ‘metaphorical’ toolbox can make it easier to start a business or reach employment goals.

The practical approach we adopt to these workshops ensures that your students are engaged throughout. We create a safe, friendly environment for your students to bring forward their ideas, think for themselves, develop new skills and gain a whole new insight in what it takes to be enterprising. No ideas are bad ideas!

Primarily we are there to help your students to explore the ‘attributes of a successful entrepreneur’ and provide ‘give it a go’ activities which positively evolves students business skills in:

– Communication

– Presenting

– Business networking

– Creative thinking

Interdependently of this your students will have gained an increased awareness, knowledge, confidence and self esteem in order to start their own business or become gainfully employed.

To fit around you

  • You can “pick and mix” the workshops or we can create an individual programme
  • Workshops can fit around an academic timetable
  • We continually develop new ideas and materials to innovate and provide students with entrepreneurial skills

To give you a guide and a bit of a flavour of what we deliver check out our Engaging with Enterprise Workshop Brochure – The Kent Foundation. We received some great feedback on the event as a whole and on your workshops

University TutorsCanterbury Business Startup Seminar

Stuart was great, thorough in a simple, effective, engaging and lively way so we hit 7pm with a full session. The students were in groups and had various thinking exercises around entrepreneurism, key values and innovating products, all responded very well. The intro to the Kent Foundation is valuable too as it also alerts them to a source of funding and how they can start taking responsibility to make their ideas / aims happen. Many thanks for bringing Stuart over and for the introduction

Everyone was delighted with the morning. They loved the way you took the students out of their comfort zone, felt that you had totally pitched the training at the right level. They thought the exercises were great and they were pleased to see the students (some of whom were naturally quiet) showing confident smiles. The way the students were treated and respected like adults was great.

Thank you so much for last week, it really has helped us and the feedback from the team is excellent and very positive
