Friends needed to build foundations

At a reception at Leeds Castle, Kent Foundation patron Viscountess de L'Isle said it was vital to help young people and urged business to support them through the Friends of Kent Foundation.

"At this time of economic turmoil, it is so important that we invest in efforts to ensure the younger generation become valued citizens through their own ability and contributre to society in their chosen field,

Kent Foundation has been helping young people since 1985 and recently cranked up its role to identify and nurture up and coming entrepreneurs.   Last year, it directly supported some 20 young people thinking of starting up in business.

It is also sponsoring a Young Entrepreneur Award in this year's inaugural Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA)
