Mentor Handbook Available!
The Mentor Handbook:
1) Highlights the importance of attitude and approach in supporting young people to seek and develop business opportunities and discover their potential.
2) Provides a tool for mentors to use and develop throughout a mentoring relationship e.g. to access further training sessions that accompany material covered in the manual. Ideally this would be offered by the provider of the manual
3) Provides information about ongoing support for Mentors.
4) Provides a skills and talent audit/analysis for mentors to identify a skills set as well as gaps in their knowledge and areas for further development. Main areas would include:
- Technical support. For example writing business plans and using budgets and cash flow charts.
- Mentoring. Supporting and motivating young people to develop their business ideas and plans and bring them to fruition.
- Signposting. Helping young people to discover and use appropriate organizations, information and resources to enable their ideas and plans to become successful.
