The Kent Foundation is proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant which is a public pledge of our commitment to those who serve, have served, and their families. We recognise the immense value, dedication, and sacrifice of our Armed Forces personnel, and we are determined to ensure they face no disadvantage when it comes to building a future in their own businesses or enterprise.
Signing the Covenant is more than symbolic. It reflects our belief that entrepreneurship can be a powerful pathway for service leavers, reservists, and military spouses, providing flexibility, independence, and a sense of purpose beyond uniform.

We are actively working to create tailored opportunities for the Armed Forces community to thrive in self-employment. This includes:
Developing a cohort of specialist Business Mentors – Connecting veterans, reservists, and spouses with experienced mentors who understand the unique challenges of transitioning into civilian enterprise.
Targeted Workshops and Training: Offering practical sessions on business planning, marketing, finance, and digital skills designed with military life in mind.
